With the support of Ms Heung Yuk Mui Elly and Dr Yang Yin Nicole, the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology was honoured to invite two guest speakers—Mr Lee Cheong Wai and Dr Zhu Wangda—to deliver guest lectures to students of HEM2017 and INT6066.

Facilitating Community Engagement with Digital Media Marketing Strategies: Guest Lecture by Mr Lee Cheong Wai

This session examined how digital media marketing was used to foster meaningful community connections. Real-world examples were shared, illustrating the journey from setting clear goals and conducting market research to developing engaging content and building collaborative partnerships. Participants learned practical strategies that increased audience interaction, enhanced brand image through volunteer initiatives, and utilized data-driven analysis to refine outreach efforts. The sharing emphasised how creativity, collaboration, and continuous engagement contributed to building vibrant, connected communities in the digital era.

Human-Centred AI Meets Creative Learning Design: Guest Lecture by Dr Wangda Zhu

Dr Wangda Zhu, Assistant Professor at the School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, delivered an inspiring and intellectually enriching guest lecture in INT6066 Design of Innovative Learning Environments with Technology on 19 November 2025. Grounded in his research on creative learning systems, human-centred AI, and UX design, Dr Zhu showcased how AI can meaningfully augment human creativity.

Through demonstrations of AI-powered storyboarding, multimodal ideation tools, and design-driven workflows, students witnessed how AI can become a co-creator in shaping learning experiences. They experimented with AI-generated storyboards, and explored practical strategies for integrating generative AI into educational innovation.
